Introduction
This article explains what to do if you can’t log in to the NordVPN app while connected from a country or network that restricts VPN usage.
NOTE: If you are not able to log in to Nord Account, follow our guide that explains the steps you need to follow.
Before you start
- Ensure you have access to your email.
- Ensure you can log in to your Nord Account.
- Ensure you have the NordVPN app installed.
- If you use the NordVPN browser extension, follow our guide to install the NordVPN application for your device. This will increase your chances of connecting to our servers.
Here’s what to do
- Follow any of these guides for your device to connect to a manual connection:
- Open the NordVPN app and press “Log in.”
- Log in using your Nord Account email and password.
- Once you log in to the application, disconnect the manual connection.

- Change your DNS to Cloudflare.
- Use a different network.
- Use a different device.
