Problem
You can’t log in to the NordVPN app using Nord Account.
Common Symptoms
- Nord Account shows “Error: 429 Too Many Requests” or “Something went wrong.”
- You get stuck in a NordVPN login loop — when you log in, the app asks you to log in again.
- The “Continue” button doesn’t do anything.
Troubleshooting steps
NOTE: If you are not able to log in to the NordVPN app and you are from a country or a network with VPN usage restrictions, follow this guide.
- Close all Nord Account tabs and try logging in again using the NordVPN app.
- Ensure you are entering the correct email address and password.
- Try logging in using alternative methods, such as Google or Apple ID.
- Disable pop-up blocking for nordaccount.com — to do that, click the site information button to the left of the URL and open “Site settings.”
- Check your device’s settings to see if automatic time syncing is enabled. If it’s not, enable automatic syncing.
- Enable cookies for nordaccount.com.
- Change your device’s default browser to a different one.
- Temporarily pause other security software or ad blockers.
- Change your device’s DNS servers to NordVPN.
- Reset your NordVPN (Nord Account) password.
- Close the NordVPN app completely and then relaunch it.
- Reset your application preferences.
- Reinstall the NordVPN app — uninstall the version you’re using now and download the newest version.
Additional tips
- Wait at least 30 minutes before trying to log in again.
- Make sure your device has a stable and active internet connection.
- If you are using an iOS device, make sure that the NordVPN app has not been hidden by the system.
- Check if the issue occurs on other devices connected to the same network. If it does, try switching to a different network.
