There are several reasons why you may be having trouble connecting to NordVPN on your Android device. These include issues with your account status, app configuration, or network settings. To troubleshoot, go through the following steps one by one.
- Make sure your NordVPN account is active.
-
Check if your NordVPN app is up to date.
- To do so, open the app, tap on Profile in the bottom right corner, select Settings at the top right of the screen, and scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
- If you are using an older version, reinstall the NordVPN app on your Android device.
- Stop any ongoing VPN connections, kill the NordVPN app, clear the app cache, restart it, and try to connect.
- Change mobile network – instead of Wi-Fi, try mobile data and vice versa.
- If you're using Quick connect, try connecting to a specific country server.
- If connecting to a specific server doesn't work, try other servers as well.
- Change the VPN connection protocol.
- Try switching to the NordWhisper and OpenVPN UDP/TCP protocols and connecting again.
- Try connecting to Obfuscated servers while using the OpenVPN UDP/TCP protocol.
- Reinstall the NordVPN app on Android.
- Check your Android device configuration.
