How to cancel a recurring payment

Note: This tutorial will show you how to cancel a recurring subscription so that you are not charged automatically next time. But it will not show you how to get a refund for your payment. To receive a refund, please contact our customer support.

If you purchase a NordVPN plan via a credit card, you will automatically create an ongoing subscription with recurring payments.

To cancel recurring payments, follow the steps below:

UCP

  1. Log in to your account on the NordVPN website.
  2. Under My Services, find the Private and secure Internet access (VPN) section. Click on the three dots button next to Change Plan.


     
  3. Press Cancel automatic payments.
  4. You will be asked again if you are sure you want to cancel automatic payments. Just press Yes.
  5. Afterward, the page will reload, and a green marker at the top will show up indicating that your automatic payment has been canceled. 

Nord Account

  1. Log in to your account on the Nord Account page.
  2. Click View Details at NordVPN service:


     
  3. Turn off Auto Renew slider.


     
  4. You will be asked again if you are sure you want to cancel automatic payments. Press Cancel auto-payments.


     
  5. A pop-up will notify that your recurring subscription was canceled and Auto Renew slider will turn gray.
