Troubleshooting steps

- Check if your operating system supports the NordVPN app.
- Force close the NordVPN app:
- On Android:
- Go to your phone settings.
- Tap “Apps.”
- Tap “NordVPN.”
- Tap “Force Stop.”
- On iOS:
- Swipe up from the bottom (or double-tap the home button on older models).
- Swipe up on the NordVPN app.
- On Android:
- Find the NordVPN app on the Google Play Store for Android or the App Store for iOS and install any available updates.
- If you’ve installed NordVPN from Google Play for Android, uninstall NordVPN and install the version from our website:
- Open “Settings” on your device.
- Tap “Apps.”
- Tap “NordVPN.”
- Tap the trash bin at the bottom of your screen.
- Restart your phone.
- Open this link and tap “Get APK version” to install NordVPN.
- Check if there are any updates for your mobile device’s operating system.
- Android:
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Scroll down and tap “System” or “About phone.”
- Tap “System update” or “Software update.”
- If an update is available, tap “Download and install.”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
- Android:
- iOS:
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Tap “General.”
- Tap “Software Update.”
- If an update is available, tap “Download and Install.”
- Enter your passcode if prompted
- Follow the instructions to complete the update.
- Restart your device.

- Check if the issue persists on different devices.
