To reset your preferences on the NordVPN Windows app, follow these steps:
- Open NordVPN, and click on the gear:
- Head to general:
- Scroll down and click run diagnostics:
- Click reset app:
It may take up to a few minutes for the app to reset.
Your application preferences and settings will now be reset, and you will be asked to log back in.
To reset your NordVPN application settings on macOS, follow these steps:
- Close the NordVPN application completely by right-clicking the NordVPN in the Dock and selecting Quit:
- Open the Terminal by pressing Command(⌘) + space bar and typing terminal in the search field:
- In the Terminal, run these commands:
If the application was downloaded from the App Store:If the application was downloaded directly from our website:defaults delete com.nordvpn.osx-apple
defaults delete com.nordvpn.macos
Your application preferences will now be reset.
To reset your NordVPN application settings on Android, follow these steps:
- Find the NordVPN app on your home screen, long-press the icon, and select app info:
- A setting window will appear, select storage & cache:
- Click clear storage:
- A pop-up will appear, click delete:
Your app preferences have now been reset.
To reset your preferences on the NordVPN Linux app, follow these steps:
- Press Ctrl + Alt + T to open the terminal.
- Type the following command and press Enter:
sudo rm /var/lib/nordvpn/data/settings.dat
- Next, type the following command and press Enter:
sudo rm -rf ~/.config/nordvpn
Your app preferences have now been reset.
