There are several reasons why you may be having trouble connecting to NordVPN on your iOS device. These include issues with your account status, network settings, or app configuration. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot.
- Make sure your NordVPN account is active.
-
Check if your NordVPN app is up to date.
- To do so, open the app, tap on Profile in the bottom right corner, select Settings at the top right of the screen, and scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
- If you are using an older version, uninstall the NordVPN app and download the latest NordVPN version for iOS.
- Stop any ongoing VPN connections, kill the NordVPN app, restart it, and try to connect.
- Change mobile network – instead of Wi-Fi, try mobile data and vice versa.
- If you're using Quick connect, try connecting to a specific country server.
- If connecting to a specific server doesn't work, try other servers as well.
- Change the VPN connection protocol.
- Try switching to the NordWhisper and OpenVPN UDP/TCP protocols and connecting again.
- Try connecting to Obfuscated servers while using the OpenVPN UDP/TCP protocol.
- If that does not help, reset the application:
- Tap on the Profile in the bottom right corner.
- Select Settings (gear icon) at the top right of the screen.
- Tap Reset VPN profile.
- Reinstall the NordVPN app. To do so, tap and hold the NordVPN icon and tap on the X icon in the upper-left corner. After the app has been uninstalled, download and install NordVPN on your iPhone again.
- If you're using a Wi-Fi connection, try to change your DNS servers.
