Introduction
In this article, you will learn how to locate and connect to your purchased and assigned NordVPN dedicated IP on an iOS device, such as an iPhone, iPad, or iPod. Using a dedicated IP provides fewer CAPTCHA requests and enhanced security through exclusive accessibility.
Before you start:
- You have purchased a NordVPN dedicated IP and set it up after purchasing it in your Nord Account.
- The NordVPN app must be installed on your iOS device.
NOTE: While using a dedicated IP with the OpenVPN protocol, you can connect up to 10 devices; however, NordLynx only supports one. Dedicated IP is not available via the IKEv2 protocol. Moreover, please be aware that your email will be linked to that dedicated IP address.
Here's what to do
Method 1: Using the Specialty Servers menu
- Open the NordVPN app on your iOS device.
- If you were using NordWhisper before, ensure you have switched the protocol to OpenVPN (UDP), OpenVPN (TCP), or NordLynx in the app settings
- You should be able to see all of your dedicated IP servers in the "Recents" section, even if you have not connected to them yet.
- If you want to choose a different server, on the homepage (globe icon), tap "All locations."
- Tap on "Dedicated IP."
- Tap on your assigned dedicated IP to establish the connection.
Method 2: Using the Search Bar
- Open the NordVPN app.
- Tap the search bar at the top of the screen.
- Type your specific dedicated IP address into the search field.
- Tap on the result to connect.
Additional tips
- After completing the steps, you can verify your connection by visiting the official NordVPN DNS leak checker website.
- If your dedicated IP does not appear in the "Specialty servers" list after purchase, try logging out of the NordVPN app and logging back in. This refreshes your account data and server list.
- You can configure the NordVPN app to auto-connect to your dedicated IP whenever you are on an untrusted network.
