Making sure your account is active

If you can't connect to our servers, you should first make sure your account is active, as it is the most common reason for this issue.

Here's how you can do that: 

  1. Go to the Nord Account page and check the status of your account.
  2. You should see the Active status under the NordVPN service.

My account shows up as inactive. Why?

Generally, an account may temporarily stay inactive because the payment must be processed. The time it takes to process the payment varies from service to service. For more information, check out this article: Why my NordVPN account is still inactive?
 

My account is active. What next?
