Introduction
This article explains how to permanently delete your HangUp account. Account deletion can now be completed through an automated, self-service system instead of contacting support by email, making the process faster and more convenient. You can delete your account directly through your account settings, the HangUp app, or by submitting a deletion request form.
Before you start
- This action is permanent. Once deleted, you will lose access to all purchased services and any saved data.
- Export or back up any information you want to keep before proceeding, as it cannot be recovered after deletion.
- You may be asked to provide additional information for verification purposes.
- In certain cases, extra steps may be required before deletion can be completed (for example, if your subscription was purchased through the Apple App Store or if your account is linked to a business account).
Here's what to do
Delete your account via NordAccount
- Log in to your Nord Account.
- Click on your email address and go to account settings.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the account deletion section, then click "Delete account."
- Verify your email by entering the verification code sent to your email address.
- Once verified, follow the on-screen next steps to complete the deletion.
Delete your account using the request form
- Open the account deletion request form.
- Fill in the required fields (this verifies your identity and prevents unauthorized changes):
- Account's current email: the email you currently use for HangUp.
- Amount paid: the amount of your oldest available payment.
- Method: how you made that oldest payment (e.g., credit card, PayPal).
- Payment date: the exact date of your oldest available payment.
- Reason: why you want to delete your account.
- Description: any additional comments or requests.
- Attachments (optional): a picture of your oldest available payment to speed up processing.
- Click "Submit" to finish. The support team will email you within 24 hours to discuss your deletion request.
