I can't install or update the NordVPN app on tvOS

Problem

You encounter a problem during the NordVPN tvOS app installation or update process.

Common symptoms

  • The installation does not start.
  • The installation starts but never finishes.
  • The app still shows an outdated version after attempting to update.

Troubleshooting steps

NOTE: Check if the issue has been resolved after each step.

  • See for outstanding tvOS updates (NordVPN is supported on tvOS from tvOS 17):
     
    1. Open the “Settings” app.
    2. Go to “System.”
    3. Go to “Software updates.”
    4. Select “Update software.”
    5. If an update is available, select “Download” and “Install.”
       
  • Restart your device.
  • Reinstall the NordVPN app:
     
    1. Find the NordVPN app on the home screen of your tvOS device.
    2. Press and hold the clickpad (or the touch surface) of your remote.
    3. Select “Delete app” and confirm your choice.
    4. Installing the NordVPN app again from the Apple App Store.
