I can't launch the NordVPN app, or it crashes on Android TV

Problem

Troubleshooting steps

  • Check if your operating system supports the NordVPN app.
  • Reinstall the NordVPN app:
     
    1. Open up “Settings” on your device.
    2. Select “Applications.”
    3. Select “Manage installed applications.”
    4. Navigate to NordVPN.
    5. Select “Uninstall” and wait for the process to finish.
    6. Restart your Android box.
    7. Download NordVPN from the Google Store (or the Amazon Store if you have a FireTV device).
       
  • If you have an antivirus, ensure NordVPN is on the exclusions list.
  • Temporarily turn off or uninstall your antivirus to see if it is blocking or interfering with the NordVPN app.
  • Restart your device.
  • Check for Android TV system updates:
     
    1. Navigate to the “Settings” menu.
    2. Select “Device Preferences” or “System.”
    3. Select “About.”
    4. Select “System Update.”
    5. Follow the prompts to install any available updates.
