Problem
You are often unexpectedly logged out of the iOS NordVPN application.
Common symptoms
- While using the NordVPN application, you frequently get logged out.
- You get logged out immediately after logging in to NordVPN.
Troubleshooting steps
- Clear the cache of your default browser. If your default browser is Safari:
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Tap “Apps.”
- Tap “Safari.”
- Tap “Clear History and Website data.”
- Tap “All History” and “Clear History.”
- Disable cookie blocking on your default browser. If your default browser is Safari:
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Tap “Apps.”
- Tap “Safari.”
- Tap “Advanced.”
- Toggle "Block all Cookies" off.
- Change the default browser of your device to a different one:
- Open the settings app.
- Tap “Apps.”
- Tap “Default Apps” at the top of the list of your apps.

Tap “Browser App” and select a different browser.
- Use a different internet connection type (for example, if you were connected via Ethernet, try connecting using Wi-Fi).

Reset your network settings:
NOTE: These steps will also reset Wi-Fi networks, passwords, and the VPN or APN settings you’ve used.
- Open “Settings” on your device.
- Tap “General.”
- Tap “Transfer or Reset iPhone” at the bottom of the list.
- Tap “Reset.”
- Tap “Reset Network Settings” and enter your passcode.

Restart your device.

Reinstall the application:
- Tap and hold NordVPN on the home screen.
- Tap “Remove app.”
- Tap “Delete app” and confirm.
- After the app uninstalls, install NordVPN from the App Store.
Additional tips
- Check your internet connection without connecting to the VPN.
- Wait a few minutes before trying to log in again.
- Check if the issue occurs on other devices connected to the same network. If it does, try switching to a different network.
