How to use the Exclude from VPN (Split Tunneling) feature on the NordVPN extension?

Introduction

The exclude from VPN (Split Tunneling) feature in NordVPN proxy extension allows you to split your browser traffic. If some websites do not work with a VPN or you simply do not want to have the traffic routed through a VPN, you can bypass URLs and domains. In other words, it allows you to specify the URLs and domains you want to access with your real IP address and unencrypted traffic.

Here's what to do

  1. Click the NordVPN extension.
  2. On the left side of the extension, where you see all the buttons, click the "Exclude from VPN" feature.
  3. Write the domain or IP you want to exclude from the VPN. You can also check on "Add all subdomains" to include subdomains such as shop.example.com instead of only example.com
  4. Once you have typed the website, click "Exclude" and reload the page. After reloading, the website will no longer be under the VPN.

Additional tips

  • For a faster way, on any website you want to exclude from the VPN, you can right-click, select NordVPN from the context menu, and then click on either "Disable VPN for this domain and its subdomains" or just "Disable VPN for this domain."
