Unable to connect to VPN with the browser extension

There might be several reasons why you are unable to connect to the NordVPN browser extension. Here are a few steps that may fix this issue:

  1. VPN only supports 6 active simultaneous connections, so if you have exceeded this limit extension will not allow you to connect until the sessions have expired. Make sure to connect less than 6 devices at the same time. You can also follow this guide to change your password; in that case, you will be logged out from all devices, and the sessions will be cleared, which will allow you to start a new connection.
  2. Other extensions can overtake proxy, which is needed for the VPN to work on the extension. Try to disable other VPN service extensions or applications.
  3. If you have closed the extension with an active connection to VPN, the next time you reopen it, it might not have enough time to load the connection; it can take longer to connect. Wait for a few minutes to establish a successful connection.
