Installing the NordVPN IKEv2 application on macOS

This article will help you set up the NordVPN application on your Mac and connect to a VPN server. This app uses the reliable and fast IKEv2/IPSec VPN protocol, which meets the highest security standards.

Note: The IKEv2 app is compatible with macOS 10.12 and later versions.

Download and install the application:

  1. Click this link to find the NordVPN IKEv2 app on to the Mac App Store:

  2. Click on the View in Mac App Store icon.

  3. Your App Store application will launch. Now, click on the blue Get button.

  4. Once the download is finished, press on the green Install App button.

Sign in to the application:

  1. Open your Launchpad and look for the NordVPN IKE icon. Double-click on the icon to launch the app.

  2. Click on the Log In button at the bottom of the app window.

  3. Enter your NordVPN account credentials - email address and password. Press the Log In button.

Connect to a server:

  1. Click on the Quick Connect button at the bottom of the app window.
    This will pick the best server for you.

  2. First time you connect, you will see a Neagent window, asking for access to the Keychain.
    Enter your Mac's password and click the Always Allow button.

  3. Click on the sidebar icon in the upper-left corner of the app window, and you will access the Settings on the bottom.

    Here, you can access the full server list and enable or disable extra features, such as Connect on Start or Killswitch
