How to configure AsusTor 2.7.1 and above

This guide was created using ASUSTOR ADM 4.2.1.DGE2

Follow these steps to set up a NordVPN connection on your ASUSTOR NAS:

1. Log in to your NAS using an internet browser.
2. Open Settings and select the Network section.
3. Switch to the Network interface tab and click Add > Create VPN.
   
   
    
4. In the Add VPN configuration window, select OpenVPN and click Next.
   
   
    
5. Select Import configuration files from the OpenVPN provider and click Next.
6. Fill in the following information:

• Name: NordVPN
• Account: Your NordVPN service username
• Password: Your NordVPN service password
  
  
  
  
  Find your NordVPN credentials on your Nord Account dashboard. Click Set up NordVPN manually.
  
  
  
  You will receive a verification code in your email that you use for NordVPN services. Type the code in: 
  
  
  
  Copy the credentials using the Copy buttons on the right:
  
  

7. Download an OpenVPN configuration file for a NordVPN server. We suggest using our server picker tool to download the most optimal server for you.
   
   
    
8. Next to Import file(s), click Expand and Add.
9. Select your downloaded server configuration file and click Open.
   
   
    
10. Paste the credentials together with the chosen server and click Finish.
    
    

When the new network interface is created, select it and click Action > Connect. Now your NAS is connected to a NordVPN server.
